#asktheexperts my 4 year son is holding potty. doctor has suggested to give laxopeg but still he has fear of pain.. and not doing. what to do

A. I think your child is having either fear of constipation of course the pain would be there and sometimes it could probably be due to scared of sitting on the commode regular counselling will be helpful and apply some oil into that region so it would be easier for the child to pass motion due to having lubricant into that area
