Q.

#asktheexperts My 4 year son has cough and runny nose always.After giving cetrazine and zedex it get less sometime bt the cough never has been stop.It gets worse at night.Visited Dr many times bt cough doesn't go away

A. Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial infection . A proper examination is required to find the cause . As a home remyedy you can start with steam inhalation . Cough can be treated wiuth cough suppressant or antitussives as per the cause. For cold antihistamines are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .

A. Then you can ask your doctor and you can go ahead with nebulising child that is what is going to be helpful in reducing down the concession from the chest and throat of your child this actually and normal evokes in most of the cases
