Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. noise should come when the child removes air from mouth is not necessary.
the recurrent stretching / curving of the body again and again as well as uncomfort / making grunting sounds as well as hiccups as well as colic pain all are due to gas in the intestine and stomach.
it is very important that after giving milk to the child you
should keep the child in upright position and do burping for 15 to 20 minutes(irrespective that you hear the burps or not). gas in stomach causes hiccups.
do not keep the child back on the bed after 1 burping because one time burping will not remove all the gas and if the gas is not removed properly it goes into intestine causing abnormal distension and that will lead to colic pain again and again.
keep the child in upright position whether you hear the burping sound or not and also it is not important that you will hear the sound when the child removes the air from the oral cavity.
NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. hello yes it is normal that some baby may not bump and it is just that when the baby as inhaled more of air when it is taking the feed burping would help a releases and just try it and it is okay even if the baby does not burp and absolutely nothing to worry if babies all fine
