#asktheexperts my 2.5 month old baby does not breastfeed properly when awake, looks very distracted.feeds properly only when sleepy or about to sleep. please suggest some solution

A. this is very common under 6 months of age bcz of gas in stomach Exclusive breast feed ur baby Feed ur baby with proper position. Burp properly after each and every feed for at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp. Give Tummy time 4-5 times in a day time If still issue persist then Give colic aid drops 0.5 ml (if needed). Maximum 4times per day.

A. hi yeah..it happens because as babies grow they become more mobile and curious for their surrounding so it is normal just feed your child on demand try different feeding positions prefer to feed your child in calm and dark room, where you can avoid distractions
