A. For a 10-day-old baby, feeding should be done on demand, which usually means every 2 to 3 hours, including during the night. This typically adds up to 8 to 12 feedings in 24 hours. If Breastfeeding: Let the baby nurse from one or both breasts for about 15–20 minutes per side. The baby will take as much as needed — breastfed babies usually control their intake well. Signs baby is getting enough: 6 or more wet diapers per day, good weight gain, and active alertness. If Formula Feeding: At 10 days old, babies usually take about 45–90 ml (1.5–3 oz) per feed. Feed every 2–3 hours or whenever the baby shows hunger cues (crying, rooting, sucking on hands). Don’t force the baby to finish a bottle; stop when they show fullness. Always watch baby's cues rather than the clock, and consult your pediatrician regularly to ensure your baby is gaining weight properly and staying hydrated.
