#AskTheExperts is it true that using diapers for babies is not good? my baby is 6, months old n I have been using Huggies diapers since she was born. what other precautions need to be taken to avoid any rashes or skin infections while using diapers.

ShivaniMom of a 8 yr 7 m old child8 years agoA. As soon as the baby is born most parents worry about choosing to use the diapers on day today basis. I personally feel it’s a personal choice of convenience. If you want a mess free day you can go for the diapers of any well-known brand like huggies or pampers. For us we kept the usage to need basis only and it helped us in ensuring the baby was toilet trained way early in her developmental phase. In case you are still required to use diapers regularly you can ensure few things for the baby’s healthy skin and growth. 1) Try to use a good quality diaper and keep a check so that the diaper doesn’t leak causing wetness and skin irritation later 2) For night usage you can try to use specially designed diapers for night time. 3) Applying diaper rash cream every time you change diapers. 4) Ideally toilet train your baby as soon as he completes 1 year. Try to reduce the usage after this point and can be kept need basis. 5) You could also opt for cloth diapers as they are in trend these days and a healthy product for the baby These are some basic tips to ensure the baby is healthy and happy.
