Q.

#asktheexperts is it normal for the baby to cry before peeing or pooping. he is demanding for feeding also. but going fussy in breast and crying after each sip and trying to latch again. what to do.. i am confused if its poop or pee or he is struggling to drink ?

A. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distention oef the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is crying if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatricisan for examination.
