Q.

#asktheexperts I am a working mother and has a 4 months old beautiful daughter. I breastfeed her. I need to resume my office from next month. I tried giving her formula milk 2 months prior to joining, but she doesn't like it at all and becomes cranky all the time. I am also worried about leakage, how will I manage if my breasts become heavy and start leaking at work? Please respond to both the queries.

A. It's usually best to express milk at least every three hours while you are away from your baby. You may need to pump or express your milk more frequently at first so you don't feel uncomfortably full or start to leak. Be sure to include commuting time when deciding how often to pump.
