Outside time. Blocks. "Coloring". Crafts. Cooking. Naptime. Story time. Movie time or education show on occasion. Eg. Storybots, Daniel Tiger, Justin Time.
VishruthaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. How is your relationship with your mobile?
This is something that you can’t teach teach but can only model.
A lot depends on how much time you as parent spend on the mobile when you are around your child. You need to set healthy limits for yourself and for the child.
Sit with your child and agree upon a time limit/ or number of episodes( whatever works) that you think is ok for her/ him and you stick to it. Your child might get really upset initially and will try very hard to push the limits , but you need to let her/ him feel their emotions. Empathize and don’t leave your child alone feeling upset about not being able to push the limit.
To develop interest in books, read stories to them. You don’t specifically have to read but you can also just think of different stories and tell each other.
You can get the age appropriate books and read whenever free or eveb tell the stories without reading.
It will take sometime.
But, remember your child is an individual with their own interest , likes dislikes.
You can’t make your child ‘ love ‘ reading but you can always make efforts to develop interest. Rest is upto the child.
