#asktheexperts how to increase weight of my 16 days old baby..she was 3.35 kg at birth & now 2.80 kg. please guide

A. it is natural baby will be losing 10% of weight in the beginning at present feed the baby well Further it is advisable to consult your local doctor for appropriate advice in this regard if there is need for investigations also

A. If your baby's doctor thinks it's necessary, you may have to supplement your baby with additional feedings of either pumped breast milk or infant formula. You can also try to pump and separate your foremilk from your hindmilk. Hindmilk is higher in fat and calories, which can help your baby gain more weight.
