ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. Dear mum, weight of 4 kg is a normal weight for 1 and half months old baby. For healthy weight gain you should exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.

babies will gain around 500-800 g per month after birth
and will double birth Weight at completing 4-6 months and three times the birth Weight at completing one year
exclusively Breast feed recommended for six months
