Yes it is okay to stop suddenly but then your breasts are not going to stop making milk suddenly it’s a procedure when you stop feeding slowly gradually the body gets a signal that the no more milk or less milk is needed the body slowly stop making milk if you immediately quit you can suffer with an issue of engorged and heavy breast
