#asktheexperts Hi Sir, we are using "TONODERM - 5" cream for our baby outer vaginal uper part to relief itching problem, please advice it is safe or not ?? Baby Age : 3 Year

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. sincere child is just 3 years old it is not advisable to use this cream for more than 5 days as it has some side effects so it is advisable just to maintain proper hygiene over the area clean the area with normal water and hand wash solution and patted dry and let the area be open. avoid wearing tight clothes to the baby for some time clean the vaginal area 3 to 4 times in a day with normal water

Madam I am not aware about it but I would definitely suggest you not to use anything that you’re not much aware about if you are not sure about what you are using and especially if it has not been advised by the doctor then I suggest you to check with your paediatrician regarding this
