#asktheexperts Hi my son is 3yrs old he was having high fever due tomsils we wnt to dr now there is no fever all the reports are also fine but now he is sleeping a lot please suggest what to do

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the firsbt line trehatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
