Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. for big children it is important to increase the physical activity of the child during the daytime and also see that the child is drinking plenty of water and is having a good diet just before sleep but at the same time the diet should be easily digestible and not very heavy diet which is causing more gas formation because that also can lead to digestion problem and that can disturb the sleep.
also it is important to look for any environmentals disturbance which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the mattress problem.
rule out constipation which might be causing gastric disturbance sand change in sleep pattern

Wake them early in the morning like around 7am then put them for sleep between 12 to 1 pm then they will be tired by 9pm... it will take 15 days to set schedule but once it's done you will be happy Ensure to follow the same sleep routine every day.make sure that baby has good dinner. Give tummy full foods for better sleep. Also give warm milk before bedtime. Night dinner food and milk will keep tummy fillingand bbay will have a peaceful sleep and you can also have a good sleep. If still baby wakes up Avoid day time sleep or you can give warm bath before bedtime.
