#asktheexperts hi my kid is 8 mnths old nw, but he has runny nose & cough, is being cranky these days. Dr. can u pls provide any suggestions about cold n cough. and also foods that i can give him in

Hi, my kid is 8 mnth old, cold n cough had reduced but his eyes are red, it's reducing again coming back, dr which I consulted said it's due to cold n gave Novomox (2.5 ml thrice a day) , just wanted to confirm the redness of eyes is due to cold or need to take him to other dr. he is good n active no itching or pain, jus rubbing his eyes a bit when he is sleepy ( nor regularly jus once or twice a day) . pls suggest wt to do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral ginfection or seasonal fluj where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
