#asktheexperts hi doctor, my baby is 6m + and I have started solids nearly a month ago but her milk intake is dropping . before starting solids she used to take around 850ml of milk but currently with two meals and one snack she is taking 650-700ml of milk. is it normal intake or I have reduce solids portion size for her. current portion size is 2-3 spoon

So if your child is eating proper food then obviously the milk is going to reduce because you’re offering two meals that is why the amount of milk has reduced and you should focus more on food not on reduction of the food to give feed more so please focus on three meals of breakfast lunch and dinner and more than milk for your child
