#asktheexperts Hi doctor, My baby is 12 days old he has very light sleep not like other infants. He sleeps barely and has good appetite. I always keep feeding him and he has good motion n urination but the issue is of sleep. Please help me what to do

A. Sleep pattern varies from baby to baby  Generally baby sleep for 14-16 hrs at this age  Keep a watch on urine output  Baby should pass urine minimum 6-8 times per day  Feed properly before sleep to ur baby Switch off or dim light before sleep  Sing a song or cuddle ur baby  Check and change urine and motion immediately after passing it Baby commonly wakes up 2-3 times at night for feed  mskks
