#asktheexperts hi doctor. i just wanted to know why my daughter has so much secretion in throat? i put her nasal drops every 2 hourly though. n that secretion is so thick sumtime it's difficult for her to take feed. n nowdays she was refusing feed.. was it because of that? please guide

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. give steam inhalation with baby rub before feeding Hi parent give saline nasal drops and steam inhalation with baby rub avoid exposure to cold weather if the problem perissts kindly consult your doctor for proper examination and medication maintain hygeine in the area clean with Luke warm water maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

give indirect steam to ur baby 2-3 times in a day and apply babyhug vaporub on the chest and throat to get relief.
Refusing feed can be due to mucus in throat or it can be due to teething also.
