#asktheexperts Hi doc,. My 11month baby have cough. Through out the night he can't sleep and feeling uneasy. Pls suggest any home remedy. As we already consult doctor for allopathic medicines. He suggested us for Leekuf junior syrup. And also due to teething he is not eating properly, pl suggest how to feed him. And what to give him in this scenario.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given tolad reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
