#asktheexperts/helo dr. my son is 20 days old . last night he had fever nd blockd nose. dr. gave him paracetamole nd antibiotic . is it rty to give antibiotic to new born

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold In viral illneviss there can be cough and fever which needs treatment haccordingly along with a proper hydration .
