#asktheexperts Hello Sir, Sometimes my 5.5 month baby didn't woke up within 5-6 hours in the morning (after her last night feed) for feed, so do I have to woke her up or I should wait till she wake up. Moreover my baby doesn't demand for feed everytime, usually l used to feed her by maintaining the gap of 3-4 hours.

A. Hi mommy Feed on demand Newborns need to be fed 8-12 times every 24 hours Once you’ve got the hang of it, most feeds take 20 minutes or so But in the early days and weeks, they might take up to an hour As your baby grows the time baby takes to feed will reduce. And for most babies the number of feeds will reduce too
