Q.

#asktheexperts hello sir. my son is 3 years old . he has mild cough. his flu shot of this year is pending. can I give him the flu vaccine during slight cold and cough.

A. yes can give simple fever , cough and cold as well as simple discomfort of the child for a few days is not a contraindication for vaccination and it is advisable to go for vaccination at the earliest. the maximum you cadn delay would be around 2-3 weeks but after that it is advisable not to delay the vaccination if still in confusion you can meet your doctor who will examine the child and tell you whether vaccination delay is preferable or you can go for vaccination
