#asktheexperts hello sir, my boy with 22 months old makes gur gur sounds while sleeping only, can i know the reason why and how to overcome it?

A. Respiratory secretions in the child's narrow airways can cause a "ghar... ghar..." sound as air passes over them. If the child's breathing rate is normal and there are no other symptoms, there's no need for concern. If the child seems to have difficulty breathing, nasal saline drops can help clear mucus. This issue often improves as the child grows and the airways widen.
