Q.

#asktheexperts Hello sir, my 11 months daughter had a fever of 100.3 yesterday night. So yesterday night I gave her Calpol drops but in the morning the fever of 100.6 is still there. Can you prescribe some medicine for her?

A. Thank you for the response sir, can I give her paracetamol drops in the morning after having her milk or is it necessary to have some solid food before giving paracetamol? And one more thing sir, her stomach is also upset so can I give her enterogermina vials along with PCM?

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can cbe again repevated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
