A. For a lactose-intolerant child, you can substitute regular milk with lactose-free milk, soy milk, almond milk, or oat milk. Ensure the alternative is fortified with calcium and vitamin D to support bone health. You can also include other calcium-rich foods like tofu, leafy greens, broccoli, and fortified cereals in his diet. To provide protein, consider yogurt made from lactose-free or plant-based milk and pulses or legumes. If you’re concerned about his nutrient intake, consult a pediatrician or dietitian to ensure he’s meeting his dietary needs.
