Mom of a 2 yr old boy1 week ago
Q.

#asktheexperts Hello, My son is almost 2 yr old, he suddenly started shivering yesterday night and he was down with high fever whole day. I gave him calpol 120 (3.5 ml) every 6 hours. Upon consulting the paediatrician they have prescribed calpol 250(3.5ml). His temperature is around 99.6°. On the calpol 250 syrup bottle it's written that it's for children between 5 to 10 years. My son weight is almost 11 kgs and he is not eating anything. I was afraid to give calpol 250 so have given him calpol 120(5ml) twice today. Please suggest me if I need to give him calpol 120 or calpol 250? Should I again consult doctor or wait for some more time as his temperature is still high. Kindly help.
