#asktheexperts hello! my baby is 2.5 months old and he's completely on on formula milk. how much should be his optimum daily diet and his weight? also his spit up is too much at times. is it normal?

A. hi the general thumb on formula milk measurements for babies is that it is measured as per their body weight. Babies require between 150 to 200ml of formula per kg of body weight each day. That is ,if a baby weighs 3kg ,it will need between 450 to 600ml formula per day. but as all babies are different, please don't force your child to complete it. 2.ideally 2 months old baby should have weight between 3.5 to 6 kg . 3.usually spiting is normal. please keep your child head slightly elevated while feeding. make sure your child latches properly. burp your baby well after each feeding. but if your child spiting milk a lot or if he or she spits up milk in larger quantity then you should consult your pediatrician.
