Q.

#asktheexperts hello my baby girl is 2.5 months old.from last 1 and a half months .she didn't poop by herself. she's exclusively breastfeeding.she doesn't poop for 7 days then we put glycerine suppository.. after that she pooped. this cycle is continued from one and a half month ..I want to know if we use suppository regularly (after 7 days) ..kya meri beti ko iski aadat ho jayegi?? and is it safe for her.?? and what can we do to poop by herself

A. avoid suppository regularly. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also. it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day. if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool. also straining while passing urine and stool is normal. Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes
