Q.

#asktheexperts hello maam. My daughter is 9 months 25 days old. She contracts cough very frequently. Her chest gets congested after a few days. We don't give her anything cold or phlegm inducing but still. Could you please guide me in the matter.

A. avoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections. . .

A. If The child is coughing really fast and catching it really very fast that I am going to tell you that maybe the previous condition has not been cleared which is why this is happening so you should get it checked with your doctor get that treated first and after that start with homoeopathic medicine or as of now you can start with homoeopathic medication and nebuliser child to melt out the cup out of the system
