A. if the consistency of the stool is normal that is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool. the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times per day and sometimes the child will not xpass stool for few days also. Also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stool xconsistency is semisolid to solid. you have to meet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stool or the child is having pain while passing the stool.

A. constipation is common but you need to give more of fibre and liquid to that pConstipation is a very commonly seen problem in children for which diet modification is important like including high fibres in the diet for which you can give seasonal fruits like papaya, water melon and seasonal vegetables will also , can give daliya or oatsmeal.give more liquids which is important. giving excess of milk may cause constipation too.also avoid giving banana frequently which may aggravate . Regarding medication lactulose or polyethylene glycol solution may be of good help, but give any medicine or suppository only when prescribed.
