#asktheexperts hello doctor. My baby is born in canada and on formula feed since birth. He used to take Enfamil + in canada. In india, as per doctor reccomendation, i started giving him similac stage 1 but after having him, he often gets diarreha so I started giving him Similac Isomil. Now its been 2 months, he is having similac isomil & completely fine health wise but not gaining weight. So kindly suggest good formula milk which can help him gaining weight. Thanks in Advance

Maybe initially your child has an issue of lactose intolerance which is why the regular milk wasn’t suiting I would advise you to go for the regular version of the milk under the same brand which is what is going to be good but try to just check with your doctor because that is what is going to be beneficial and they can tell you why the child is gaining weight and if anything else is needed to be done
