Q.

#asktheexperts hello doctor, my baby is 57 days old, she is having unequal pupil, I have noticed pupil irregularities in room light, i am worried about my baby , I was dropped my baby before 1 month from less than 3 feet height, before that i didn't noticed her eyes . I went to hospital , I told pediatrician about my baby and the incident, doctor asked after the incident is baby had any abnormal signs? I said no, she was normal after that incident she feeds well, not crying unnecessary. pediatrician adviced me to take ophthalmology opinion. then I went to ophthalmology they done Dilated eye exam, and ophthalmologist said there is no problem in nerve don't worry. and they told to come back after 3 month. but still sometimes she is having unequal pupil left slightly bigger than right in room light. I have completed bsc nursing, for unequal pupil google shows many reasons for this. this are all scarring me. sometimes it cause depression to me. I am worrying lot about it. kindly give some opinion

A. Hi parent The first of all, please don't panic. if it's caused by injury then it should be very much visible just after the incident usually such injuries don't cause nerve damage but I would recommend you to take an experts opinion and get her checked by her(expert) only if experts opinion is ok then please don't worry much..
