#asktheexperts Hello Doctor My baby is 1 year 3 months old. Would like to know if I can give raw/half boiled egg with milk?? Thanks in advance.

A. Don't, Raw and undercooked eggs can sometimes harbour salmonella bacteria and can lead to salmonella food poisoning if eaten. best avoided by babies and young children. Cooking eggs until both the white and yolk are solid will kill any bacteria, such as salmonella.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is always advisable to give baby proper boiled and properly cooked egg . Sometimes it may be harmful to have raw egg… Take care
