#asktheexperts hello doctor.. my baby has a fever now which is 101.6 .. two days prior he had cold and vomit so doctor suggest me to give me amoxicillin anti biotic.. now he has a fever can i gave hume cefixime antibiotic

Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant and dvuecongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symgptoms.

If only fever is there please don’t give any antibiotics without consulting the doctor you should continue with the previous one which has been suggested for simple fever you can give paracetamol and further more if you have any confusion kindly check with your paediatrician itself
