#asktheexperts hello doctor,my baby got an extra thumb finger on right hand and it's bone is seperated from thumb bone so he can't freely moves thumb finger and doctor suggested to remove it and my baby weight is 7.5 and he is 6 months 20days old. is it ok to remove that finger now or what's your suggestion and is it safe to give anesthesia for whole body and it can be given only on surgery area

A. Yes it is safe to get it removed it’s not a problem in anaesthesia is given in such a manner that it should not cover your child in any manner but since I understand your concern as a child is too small before you proceed with any decision consult one or two other doctors for opinion
