Q.

#asktheexperts hello doctor my baby girl is passing motion from past 1 mnth 5 to 6 times a day which is greenish in color we did all the treatments like antibiotics nd all still she is not ok so what do you suggest nd i have not started solids just because she is not well

A. if loose motion of the child is not improving the foremost thing you have to do is take a follow with your doctor. it is advisable not to give outside milk if going on and you may have to switch to either lactose free milk or soya milk. please go for stool examination as well as stool culture which will differentiate lactose intolerance with infection. you can continue to give probiotics like such a super flora gg and zinc supplements. (you have to hold multivitaminx and iron during loose motions) many times loose motions improving 10 to 15 days also in case of viral diarrhoea.

A. Have you consulted the doctor to get a stool test done for your child because he I’ll tell you first and foremost tool colour green and grey is commonly seen with formula feeding so that no medication is required for what purpose have you given antibiotics that is also not clear did you get a stool test done was there an infection or something till that time there is no clarity you cannot go for further medication you please conduct a stool culture test for clarity and then you can move ahead with proper treatment and starting with food for your child
