#asktheexperts hello doctor my 4months, 23 days baby has 103.4 F temperature but his body is not heating, we have given him dolo 1ml , what else should we do

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever Armpit temperature of hundred or more is is considered as fever To body sponge to to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

Hi parent Please breast feed her and keep her hydrated please consult your pediatrician or a near by physician as well if it's because of cold or cough , keep a bowl full of chopped onion near her bed approx three feet far over night. don't expose her to winds and dust for now
