#asktheexperts hello doc my son is 4 month old and he is on both formula and breast feeds so can you please suggest whether I should go for vaccine or not?

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 4 months old and he is taking breast feeding and formula milk feeding both so if you want to take Covid vaccination then you should not as it’s safety is not determined yet

government of India does not allow lactating mother and pregnant mother to take vaccination.
at present the government does not have any statistics and studies and clinical trials to show whether this vaccine is safe for them or not.
but according to Western studies and western medical guidelines they recommend that lactating mothers can take the vaccination. also so there are many e gynaecological and paediatric doctors would recommend this. the final decision has to be taken by the mother after consulting your personal doctor
