#asktheexperts Hello Doc. My baby is 3 months and 27 days old and he’s losing lot of hair on the back of his head since 15 to 20 days and there is itching also as he’s frequently scratching his head and his scalp is very dry and there are small flakes coming out. I’m concerned. Please suggest

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician3 years agoA. baby is having seborrhic dermatitis consult your dermatologist for proper examination and medication hairfall is common in this age no need to worry about it maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

Irina NishatMom of a 3 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. My baby had same condition at 2.5 months, it's called craddle cap and is quite normal at this age. His pediatrician prescribed to shampoo with a mild baby shampoo on alternative days and apply Cetaphil lotion on his head everyday. Now it has gone completely and his hair is also growing at normal pace.
