#asktheexperts hello Doc, Does phototherapy makes baby's skin dark? my baby was kept under lights for 24hrs.

A. yes that is see do not worry the skin colour will revert back you have to give only breastfeeding /milk to the child till completion of 6 months of age and before 6 months of age if you are giving any type of outside food or complementary feeding it can cause digestion problem in the child. no need to give water also because breast milk contains 80% of water and water also is given after six months of age only. it is advisable to continue the the multi vitamin and supplement medicines given by your doctor.

A. good morning yes it makes the skin a little bit dark I would recommend you to make sure that you massage your baby on a daily basis using a good brand of oil and fresh milk cream for improving the complexion again
