POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due this month3 months agoA. It's common for a 2-month-old baby to spit up milk, and if it has just started in the last day, it may be due to a few simple reasons:
Overfeeding: If your baby is taking in more milk than their stomach can handle, they may spit up. Swallowing air during feeding, especially if not burped properly, can lead to spitting. Positioning: Lying down immediately after feeding can cause milk to come back up. Immature digestive system: At this age, the valve between the stomach and esophagus is still developing.
To help reduce spitting:
Burp your baby after every feed. Keep your baby upright for 15–20 minutes after feeding. Avoid bouncing or moving the baby too much after a feed.
If your baby is active, gaining weight, and not uncomfortable, spitting up is usually normal. But if the spit-up is forceful (projectile), green/yellow, has blood, or baby seems in pain or not feeding well, consult your pediatrician.
