#asktheexperts Good morning sir. My baby is 5 month 15 days old.There is blood stains in her stool sometimes..Is it common in babies?What is the reasons behind that?

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. no it is not common in babies to get blood in stools especially for babies who are less than one year of age and who are not on solids so consult your doctor

Uma RamMom of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello good morning !! Consult Paeditrician about this, blood stains in stool must be concerned go for stool test. Generally constipation/hard stools cause blood in poop. Do regular Tummy massage warm Coconut oil or warm castor oil on baby's tummy and gently massage for 10 minutes in clockwise direction with fingers.
