#asktheexperts Good morning! My wife is currently in the 33rd week of her pregnancy. She is having sore throat from some days, with mild cough sometimes and difficulty is eating (swallowing) as well as speaking. Can you please suggest a good cough syrup/medicine that would be safe for her and if she can take Strepsils for sore throat? Thanks!

A. I’m sorry we cannot suggest you any medicine as you have to check with your gynaecologist because during the time of pregnancy we don’t recommend to take any medicine without consulting the gynaecologist
