Q.

#asktheexperts Good Evening Doctor, my daughter will turn 3 years old on September 29th, but she speaks very few words like "mama," "papa," and "Ajay." Sometimes, for a week, she only says "mama," and other times it's "Ajay." I'm very concerned. We had sent her to school, but she developed a fear of going to school as well. So, for now, we're not sending her. Please suggest what we should do in this situation.

A. Speak to your child It's important to try and gain an understanding of what's going on. Depending on the age of your child, it might be easy to talk to your child about why they don't want to go to nursery. You can then explain why they need to go in and discuss how you could make them feel better
