#asktheexperts Good evening doctor m from Guwahati. my baby is a girl and she is just 3 days old. today morning she was recorded with 17.2 bilirubin level by the hospital authority. now she is under phototherapy since last 12 hours and the hospital authority just told me that she will b there for another 12 hours . Doctor, plz let me know whether it is a serious matter or not. m too much worried . plz help me

Relax Ma’am jaundice is completely normal forget it happens to every child after their birth it is just that the level is quite in control right now so they may have to keep your child for 24 hours or 12 hours depending upon the situation and after that they are going to discharge the child is very formal with every single child they do suffer with John Lee so don’t worry about itWrite Your Answer Here
