Q.

#asktheexperts Dr my baby is 3 month old n her weight gain is too slow she was at birth 3 kg n now after 3 month is 4.700 since long time . everybody who meets her says she is so week n light in weight .i feel really guilt as she us totally on breastfeed. dr should i hv something in my diet o what should i do with her

A. Hello mom babies tend to almost gain about 300 gm to 1 kg monthly and then by the age of 4 to 6 months they almost double their birth weight. Take a filling nutritious food that would be helpful preferably before baby feed time as that would ensure good quality milk and help in weight gain . Foods which do help in good milk production are garlic , oats , flax seeds , dry fruits , panjiri , drumstick and fenugreek leaves , jeera or ajwain or saunf water , milk , etc
