#asktheexperts Dear Dr my son prajith undergone VSD closure last month.. till fews ago I gave only breastfeeding.. now I have started with formula milk(60ml) eventhough he is not OK with that milk and preferring for breastfeeding after giving that formula milk... 1. Is it OK to give breastfeeding and formula milk at same time... will cause any digestive problem...? 2. now he is 6month started.. can we start any simple complementary food... 3. if I want to give only formula milk means how much I can give for him.. Thank you in advance

A. Giving your baby formula in addition to breastfeeding is called supplementing. It's completely fine and perfectly safe to do. Many families choose this type of combination feeding method, whether out of necessity (e.g. low breast milk supply), convenience, or simply personal choice.
