if the medicines are given by the doctor then you can continue this medicine for the prescribed number of days and if it is not improving in next three days then only you have to take follow up with the doctor who will tell you whether you have to stop or continue this it is important for you to understand that any medicine except multivitamins which is given to children have side effects on the child.
they should not be given on daily basis but should be given only when required.
meet your doctor wfho will tell you what is the indication and how many times it can be given.
(this applies to anti-colic f as well as digestive medicines/ enzymes, gripe water, bonnisan, gutti etc of any branch that is allopathic or homoeopathic or ayurvedic)
