Q.

#asktheexperts can 5 month baby have lactose intolerance? A week back my baby had viral cough and cold after 2-3 days loose motions started after every feed. he is on breastfeed as well as formula feed. one time spotted some white substance in his stool so we checked stool in that report it says having lactose intolerance so from yesterday we started lactose free formula. he is loosing his weight also. please suggest something. Will intolerance go away with time?

A. Hello mama lactose intolerance does not go away but it can be managed with diet .. So for now continue to give lactose free formula milk and as the age progresses manage the diet by not avoiding milk and milk products and processed food
